Second deign has more room for quilting and so is my favourite for today.

Love the first design.

Would love the second one too, but I made a mistake. Can you pick it?

Thank goodness in Electric Quilt I don’t have to use a quick-un-pick to undo the mistake, but will leave this one there to remind me that I should always check before selecting designs to use as a virtual quilt.

Not impressed with the border. Note to self … change it! Love the design inside the borders though.

Much better border on the second design, and the space inside the border is OK too.

As I selected this design I thought I really liked it. Then I moved attention to the next design.

I love the second design.

I have worked out what I want for Christmas … a magic wand which would create a quilt every day, but even then I will never catch up with all the virtual designs I would like to make real.

I am always fascinated by the variety of designs I find by playing with the shapes used in a block design. There are over fifty variations in this block file which need some sorting to put them in order, but it much more fun playing with the block designs in quilt designs than sorting them!

Of course, the block designs can also be turned into quilting motifs.

This project file is now 1 day old, though many of the blocks were waiting for some attention.

About half of the blocks in the sampler above are new variations on the theme.

Love the design above, but will continue playing with the project from time to time as there are still blocks which haven’t found a place in a quilt design yet … not even a sampler.
